FUNCTIONS
Teaching competency-based learning for undergraduate students. Teaching pharmacology to the undergraduate students. To train Post graduate student to function as an academician and as a research scientist or adviser in academic, research, corporate or administrative setup. Appreciate rationale for different therapeutic modalities, be familiar with administration of essential drugs and their common side effects. Possess the attitude for continued self-learning and to seek further exercise or to pursue research in any chosen area of medicine, action research and documentation skills.

OBJECTIVES
To make MBBS Students clinicians, leaders, communicator, lifelong learner and professional in health care system. To create Indian Medical Graduate possessing requisite knowledge, skill, attitude, values, and responsiveness so that he/she may function appropriately and effectively as a doctor of first contact of community while being globally relevant. To develop scientific temper, acquire educational experience for proficiency in profession and promote healthy living. To implement attitude, ethics, and communication module in all medical students.
