The Department of Pathology at Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College, Vishnupuri, Nanded was established in 1988 with a vision to lead developments in the fields of academic pathology and clinical pathology. Since its inception, the department has been actively engaged in the study of diseases to ensure patient safety and well-being. It is committed to the dissemination of knowledge, alongside training undergraduate and postgraduate medical students to achieve excellence in patient care. Besides academic training, the department provides continuous capacity-development opportunities for its staff to enhance their professional skills, lead research by example, and build platforms that promote the sharing of knowledge and skills. Furthermore, the department fosters research in curriculum development, basic research into various aspects of disease understanding and management, and actively promotes interdisciplinary and translational research. |
